Odometer been around once?

Is there a way to tell if the odometer has been around, my buddy says the first digit on the OD should be blue if it's been over. Mine's not, is yours?

We Just bought a 89 with 337,000 miles on it and all it says it 37,000 and the 3 isn't blue.

Oh boy..

There is not a way that I know to tell. I only had the service records for the 89 before I bought it to confirm it had only 150,000 Km. Now it has substantially more... .

Good to see the blue digit thing is not true. I bought the truck from my girlfriends parents neighbour, they've known him for over 20yrs and is as honest as they come. He bought it as a repossessed vehicle with 30,000 kms on it in '90. The first guy drove the truck for a year before it got repoed. I bought it with 98,000kms (now has 125k) so either the first guy drove 130,000kms in a year (not likely) or my truck only has 125k.
