odometer

2004 2500 4x4 do these trucks have a hourmeter as well? If they do, please tell how they work. thanks!!

Yes they do been a while since I did it but it was in the owners manual for the 03 and back when this forum was a 6 months old or so there was a thread about all the neat things people found the 3rd gens had.



If I remember right to access it press the trip rest and hold turn key to on (but not running)keep holding for 15-20 secs or it is press after turning to on and hold for 15-20 secs?

The above procedure is correct: With the key off, press and hold the odometer reset button and turn the key to the on position but do not start the engine. After about 10 seconds, the odometer will display hours. If press and hold the button after turning the key on, you will reset the trip odometer. I cannot find any reference to this in my owner's manual.

I don't think the key has to be off when you push the button..... this is from memory though, so consider yourself warned. If I remember correctly, you can turn the key to run position, push the odometer reset (while the odometer is displayed, not the trip meter) and hold for 5-10secs.
