Competition First Drag Race!!!!

Competition the "unofficial" central texas dyno day video

I won the 'open class' of the event with 724hp. Does anybody have the other results? I read them but didn't scribble them down.

Nice meeting a lot of folks and hanging out with old friends.

I wasn't well prepared for the event. The truck hit the street in full form at ~7pm the night before and I spent until 0100 buttoning up odds and ends. I was better prepped for this one than some in the past. . no leaks , the ac was ice cold, the stereo was rockin

Layed down 724hp with redneck nitrous... I didn't finish installing mine, I have a dual stage nitrous kit but I was short a few key components.

The first run supposedly showed ~750 but it was just after the end of the run. The first run was 75-110mph. After that they ran to 120.

Diesel only was 563. the injectors were too big. They weren't built for my truck and it showed. Even with copious amounts of nitrous the smoke never cleared. I'm gonna send them back to Don and let him adjust them to fit my mods. hopefully next time I'll make 700 before the juice.

The ATS standalone transmission is the neatest thing since sliced bread. It takes a bit of practice... getting off the dyno I was still in test mode and when I hit 'D' it tried to take in 2nd locked up... killed the truck 4 times before I figured it out.

Oh well, live and learn.

Later,

Mark

Good job !!!

Yea fix those injectors and I'll see you in Vegas. Congratulations on winning the event. It is always nice to put down good numbers when other people call you out. Are you up for a heads up race in Vegas? I'll have a little surprise for you. ;)

Nobody can do this stuff alone. It takes a lot buddies to make it happen.
