Time for new brakes as the caliper is close to kissing the rotor (44k miles).

I'm content with OEM but are there better pads out there? TIA

i put Napa Gold pads on mine and they seem better than stock. the only complaint that i have is the fact that they squeek occasionally. doesn't really bother me, just a little noisy at times. the other good part is they were only something like $25!!!

Just did a search on brake pads, the new search engine works great.

Conclusion: Napa or Autozone carbon metalic pads, and, do not turn the rotors unless warped/cracked.

I have always turned the rotors on other vehicles but it seems you dont turn these

Anyone have any info or experience with: Iron Claw Copper Top?

Thanks

I use the cheaper after market pads. They wearout faster but they don't wear the rotors as much. I would rather replace pads more often then have to spend the money to replace the rotors. Also make sure you change your brake fluid, often over looked maintance item. It will save you big $$$ in the long run.

Well after disassembly, the pads are ok. The right front caliper is sticking and wearing out the inside pad (which is the one I saw as worn out). The left side has equal (very little) wear and no heat cracks in either rotor. I'm gonna rotate the thin pad to it's opposite position. Hope that is a good idea. Some pull is expected until the pads seat.

That is weird, I had the exact same thing on mine at around 40K miles. I just put a new set of pads on, it then wore evenly.
