OEM foglight bulbs vs Hella (RE: dfritz site)

Just over at Dave Fritz's site and noticed the following about our fog lights: http://www.ecpe.vt.edu/~dfritz/technical/electrical/fog_wiring.htm

Question, is this still true for a 99 and newer, that the lights are made by an OEM company related to Hella???

Can the OEM's use H3 bulbs or not??

Check out the Hellas here. I'm going to order a set when I can steal the change from my daughter. The only question is about the mount. Is the mounting bracket available from Dodge, anyone?

I have PIAA 1200s ordered. I believe they will fit the fog light holes with a home made bracket. They are "back road" driving lights according to PIAA and are available in both fog and driving versions. I'm going to hook them them to the high beam circuit via the included relay so both high beams and the PIAAs come on at the same time. We don't get enough fog around here to need "real" fogs, but I live in the woods with a large deer population.
