OEM overhead console

I just got an overhead console from e-bay, it has 2 reading lights and the little storage compartment. My question is, how is it mounted? I see 2 screw hole and then there are these 2 anchor type pieces, do these go into the metal ceiling itself? If so what is the shape of those holes, squared? And is the head liner cut away under the console, or is it still under the console? Thanks for any info guys.
