Anyone thats gone to an aftermarket stereo have a oem stereo with built-in cd player that fits my '97 for sale cheap? I can't afford the nice aftermarket models so I thought I'd try finding a oem someone might want to get rid of. Thanks.

I have the factory OEM Infinity system, which will be coming out (complete with speakers) in April next year. I might be interested in your OEM stereo. Which one do you have for sale? A little short on green right now, but if you still have it in 30-60 days I would be interested. Is the price $200 as was mentioned?

Yea its the factory CD/player that came in the 2001's. I paid $485 as and extra option what joke, Ill sell it for $175 if interested. With you living in Bend would make it easy as i go there quite often.

Sky or anyone else,

Will the CD/Cassette/Radio that Sky has just plug into my originally equipped Cassette / Radio truck? Doesn't the CD version come with the 6 speakers (tweeters extra)? Don't want to jury rig something. If I am going to have to do that I will probably just buy an after market unit. If the CD version will plug right in with no mods, I would be much more interested. I wonder if my wife would consider this a Christmas present? I have been told several times that my Christmas present is already out in the driveway. Will probably be hearing that until the beast is paid for.

I did that same change over on my 95 and it worked just fine. I am told that if you have the infinity system from the factory it comes with a extra power supply unit. However if you just install the radio you won't have the extra power (not needed) that the infinity system does. I bought mine from an auto salvage yard. Its a very easy switch.
