Somehow in the mad shuffle of unloading the fifth wheel last August and loading the car to head for a two week stint in Mass in a two hour stretch I lost one of my two keys. Have searched everywhere, no luck.

So I ordered a pair of OEM keys off e-bay for less than 1/2 the price of one new one from the dealer. These are the real deal, not the Chinese knock-offs.

If you have two working keys get a third one. I never did and was always going to do it...Now I have to involve the dealer because I only have one. That's not going to happen again........

After I get this all done I will find the missing key, can almost guarantee it.......:D

Did that with DW Rainier. Misplaced my keys. Had new keys cut and ordered two OEM FOB's on ebay. The new FOB's are still on my deck here as I found the missing keys about the time that the ebay order arrived. On the Rainier I can program the FOB myself according to the instructions that came with them.

Yep, after spending $100 for a new FOB the wife found the missing one right there in her purse! She has no idea how it got there.

I made three non fob chipped keys from e-bay blanks when my truck was new. The locksmith ground the blanks and I did the rest according to the manual.
The stock fob is too bulky for me. That was eight years ago.

Mission accomplished!!!

Small towns are great as my hardware store refused to charge me for cutting the four new keys, he only asked that I not tell him what the blanks cost until he had done them all. I waited until he cut the first one and then told him they were $200.00 each...thought he was going to pass out until I told him the truth...:-laf

My dealer programmed the truck for all four and refused to charge me as well. The truck did come from them but still nice.

I showed one of the owners where I got the two Dodge OEM keys on e-bay, that's half what he pays now so he bookmarked that site in a hurry. Give and take makes the world go round.

I will post my sources and prices in a bit but grandson's pizza is done so off to eat with him.....
