I don't know what your talking about. All I know is I'm sitting there drawing tickets out of a little bucket, and the next thing I know I'm driving home a day later!!

:DAndrew:D

Same here, my truck was the last to run on the dyno on Saturday and next thing I know I'm hooking up to my trailer. I hope I didn't miss anything good. :-laf :-laf

You were doing that in Muncie too Merrick. Makes me wonder if you even HAVE a bed at home. :-laf Man I wish we had somethin' like that around here. Glad you all had a good time.

Adam

Well, yah. A bed at home? Yah I do,, but it's more of a Joe D. bed... . Know what I mean Andrew, and Greg?

Working in the oilfield, yousleep when you can. Sometimes you are awake all night, and when you get 15 minutes in the truck, you take advantage of the opportunity, and rest up for the next dozxen hours of work you gotta do.

Plus, I got a nice g/f here at home, so I'm not into that right now.

Kerrville

Chris, Kermel, what happened in Kerrville should be told to all TDR members.

What I have been told is that there was loud music, foul language going on until 2:00am, as well as two lesbians doing things while being taped with video camers. You should be thankful that the sheriff didn't show up. Also, the Houston bunch is not allow back at Buckhorn according to the campground manger. Is what I have said true or not?

Not true?

They guys who stayed late late Sunday night got a different word.

We might not be invited back as a whole, but MDW and gang (www.hotroddiesels.com) Piers and Louise (www.PiersDiesel.com) JConley, JetEngineDoctor, others, and I, were welcomed to come back.

The rest of it? I was doing a thorough investigation of my steering wheel. I don't know.

Hum, lets see! Loud music is a norm these days as it foul language (cuss like a sailor) I have to deal with it everyday, what's up with the girl statement... ... odd, the (not being allowed back deal) has more to do with people thinking the thing was free and not paying the park dues, and the dynoing didn't help... ... ... . the event will be better off in a setting like Muncie... ... . off the beatin' path.

Having said that we would have had this issue last year if it wasn't raining because some knuckle head in a white Q/C would have been doing a Piers impression around the windmill :-laf

To any one else,

All I will say is that there is 2 sides to every story, and people should know that before they assume. If those stories scare some, then I shudder to think what they would think about May Maddnes, or Muncie even more so. :)

I say we inviate the Ford boys next year. If some thought it was crazy this year, then you aint seen nothing year. Those Ford guys are twice as crazy as anything that I have heard about happing this year in Kerrvile.

Chris, Kermel, what happened in Kerrville should be told to all TDR members.

By the way, where were you? You HEARD about it, so until the truth is told, there is no need to point fingers.

Well, during the day, I started to BBQ, and told most of the crowd whom is in our 'click' that we would be grilling and having a pow wow later that night at our campsite. some folks were a little more rambunctious than others, but we all had a good time. We had people in our campsite, and some girls showed up, which they began acting crazy, and kissing. They, however, were NOT lesbians. Lesbians only like girls; They were more bisexual than anything. They began kissing and people were filming that as well as taking pics. Its not everyday you see stuff like that. Wow, something for all the TDR world to know. The rest of us sat around, talking, having a good time, not bothering anyone. Someone camping next to us had gotten mad, and said they were going to call the cops. Ok, wowy. It aint my first rodeo, bring it on! :p After that, we all got a little more quiet, but the festivities continued, till we were too drunk, too tired, or out of girls to watch making out in front of us. :D

There was more that happened, but, just like this, it's really nobody's business anyway. I am just posting this information so you can hear it from the source, and not assume stories and go by hear-say.

You should be thankful that the sheriff didn't show up. Also, the Houston bunch is not allow back at Buckhorn according to the campground manger. Is what I have said true or not?

We were all waiting on the sheriff to arrive, but he was busy chasing rice burners, bad guys, and people who were actually breaking the law. If he would have shown up, I am sure he would have liked to have some of the Chicken fajitas and Beef fajitas we had been cooking, and most of all he would have loved the donuts for dessert, served up just for him.

The reason a majority of the bunch is not allowed back to the campground is because of how many people showed up for the day- the campground did not get much royalties for the number in attendance that happened to show. It is not from one group, but I will tell you I am not back allowed, due to the fact that since all the festivities happened at my campsite, and it was registered in my name, I assumed full responsibility. No problems, I had a fun time, and everyone who was at the 'site that night can vouch and agree it was one of the best times so far we as a group have had together.

If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask. You act like I am hiding something. That being said,

Now you know.....

The rest of the story!

Oh yeah, forgot to add. . I had forewarned the neighbors that we would be having a few people in the site that night, and that if it was a problem, just let us know, and we would tone it down. That did not happen, and so some people got their panties in a jam. Oh well, it happens, but we all had fun, and that was the best time in Texas at a rally we have had. .

Just to put it in simple terms. The Texas Rally has outgrown a simple campout setting. If we are going to continue to grow and offer more events for participants and vendors alike, we will simply have to find a place better suited for our needs. And, a nice quiet campsite in the beautiful Texas Hill Country just won't meet those needs

Buckhorn Lake RV Resort is a great place, and we may still have an early year campout event at their park, as they are all for that. It was just a matter of WAY more folks than we thought would be there and the issues that come along with that. When you get a group that large together like that, there will be issues to deal with and they were dealt with this time as they will continue to be in the future.

All in all, most everyone had a great time, no one was hurt, and we all made it home safe and sound.

That's all that matters to me.

Thanks for supporting the LSTDR Texas Rally. We certainly appreciate it.

Can we get a picture of my steering wheel investigation?

It's top-secret, but I thought we could declassify it for the meanwhile.

The investigation is still ongoing...

So what if it's true or not? Why bring up I heard this, that, and the other. Is this the junior high study hall thread where we start talking about each other trying to see how much of the s*** pot we can stir? Chris gave an explaination of what happened and assumed responsibility that is not entirely his. I was there, so what? Do I have anything to hide? No. Does it concern anybody else, or the TDR as a whole? No. If it should concern anybody it should be Curtis or Mike. Curtis (as you can read in his response) sees the big picture and has answers instead of fingers to point. That's the moral of the story instead of who did what.

Scott

Chris... Scott... Curtis... Jim... well said. and Jim we'll be waitin' for those burnouts;)

on edit: Oh yeah, I too am to blame/thank... however you want to look at it. :-laf Oo. :D

I'm sorry for those that want to rehash the incident but I dealt with it at the RV park and when I left the RV park on monday I left the issue there. I don't look backward when it doesnt do anyone any good.

I thought the RV park had a very appropriate response to what happened and I repsonded accordingly.

The issue is done and over with so let it go.

Well, I thought I would revive this thread. . Seems we do not have a "TEXAS AFTER-RALLY THREAD" for this year... We can add Crestview RV to the list of banned RV Parks, along with the Buckhorn... LoL... Gptta Love Diesel Rallies!
