North Carolina?

I posted this on the Competition forum also. What I failed to mention is there is also a diesel class at California, MO Monday Aug 5th and maybe a small diesel class on Friday the 2nd in Jeff. City:

Things are looking up for diesel sled pulls in MO. , as Big Don has stated and worked so hard for, the Show-Me Truck Pullers Association is pulling a "run what you brung diesel class" at Fulton Saturday night, 7:00pm. The fair board kicked in $200. 00 for prize money. I hope that everyone will spread the word and get a lot of entries as this will determine if we have real rules, points and multiple classes next season.

At three recent pulls---Lewisburg, Boonville and Owensville-- a Duramax and two near stock Powerstrokes placed second in each . Guys you don't need a real high hp truck to win these outstate pulls and we'll lend all sorts of support ;) ;) :D! Even if my truck isn't together I'll be there to watch. Big Don is making his first pull with his dedicated pulling truck (he will only be competing with the gas trucks, not in our diesel class) Don gave me a little smoke sample todayOo. Oo. and it was impressive. Email or PM me if I can be of assistance and bring all those diesels ready to pull. Larry

Hey Larry,

Sorry to hear about all of your carnage, but I guess it happens.

What time does the California Pull start?

I'm not sure If I can get off early from work or not but I'm gonna try. If I don't get off early, I would get home at 6:15pm and it is another 2 hours from the house. So it would make me getting there at around 8:30pm.

Hopefully I can sneak out a couple hours early.

Talk to ya later.

Adam

Adam,

The California pull starts at 7:00pm and the diesel 4X4 class is later on the listing so I assume they won't do us early. I am still trying to get my truck fixed but not sure if I'll pull at Fulton but I'm trying. Jeff City pulled tonight and Friday night. Hope you can make it on Monday. BTW the Duramax that you beat at Richmond won second place money at Lewisburg the following Sunday:confused: . Larry

Run what you drove in......

There's no weight rules at California, just run what you drove in diesel class. The Fords will out weigh us but if you want to, I don't see anything wrong with adding some weight in the bed. Larry

If anyone can make it to Fulton, I promise to try to put on an awesome show. I would like to see some of you guys pull in the diesel class.

Don

Don,

Matt and I just test drove my truck at 1:30am and all seems well. I will try the 4whldr after daylight and will pull at Fulton. Sure look forward to seeing your "Toy" smokin' all those gassers :D :D. I owe Matt (78repowerwagon) a bunch for coming over an putting the beast back together, he also picked up both driveshafts in Columbia. I built a set of traction bars similar to the ones we talked about. Hope it holds together. :) :) Larry

I just got a phone call saying there will be a bunch diesels pulling tonight, but I've not heard from the Dodge or TDR guys. The Fulton pull is trucks only so it won't last too late, is anyone going to pull their CTD besides Big Don and myself??

Adam, the Washington Town and Country Fair's Pull is on Thursday. Maybe you could make that. By the way we pulled at Fulton last night with the Toy, Wasn't to impressive :( :( :eek: :eek: I need to get higher fears for the Pro-Fab. I built very little smoke and even less ground speed. I only pulled 290+' on the first pull and 267+' on the second :{ :{

Don

It was nice to meet you and see your rig. Both trucks are simply impressive. The Toy looked good on the track. I can't wait to see what you call alot of smoke:D :D . I have videos of you and Larry, but can't seem to get them attached. . If you want I can email them.

Matt, we also videotape every pull we attend. It is a very useful tool when trying to determine what the truck did on a particular night. From our video and my gut reactions from the pulls, we determined we need to have much higher gears(not fears, as in above post). Which should cause the motor to work a bit harder and to achieve higher ground speeds. I hope to have these gears in time for the Washington fair on Thursday.

I would also like to take this time to congratulate Larry Crawford and Jeff Strothkamp on their first and second place finishes Saturday night :D :D Oo. Oo.

Don

Don,

I agree that Toy needs taller gears to take advantage of the torque that comes with boost, you sure looked good Saturday night and the crowd cheered wildly as the smoke billowed out of your stacks.

If you can make it to the California pull Monday night, I'll have some taller tires and wheels for you to try. I'll also bring a radar gun and check your speed :D :D, of couse if you pull over 40mph the local police will issue a small slip that supports the high school;).

There were nine diesels in the open class at Fulton and a few more pulled in the local street class. Not bad for a warm Saturday night in the country. Larry
