Best Oil filtering system PERIOD

Diesel generators....which one ??

Note the graph says "desired horsepower" and "desired torque"

Will that be achieved in real life?

"In some cities the air coming out the tailpipe will be cleaner than the air going in"

Whooo, now that's a new one. The EPA calibrates for the background pollution and subtracts that from what's out the tailpipe.

Will Ferds have their tailpipes plumbed into the heating air/conditioner ducts?

That's not what they are saying. I have many friends that work for the big 3 and this isn't new. There are cars they have tested in certain polution filled cities that the filters and such in the engine actually do produce tailpipe emissions lower than the ambient air. That's how far emissions controls have taken us and why going further seems a little ridiculous in most cases.

Duramax and a host of others use the Bosch HPCR system.

Yepppp... ... you're right.

The wife's '05 Jeep Liberty Limited 4x4 CRD also has HPCR and uses a CP3 injector pump, too. The 2. 8L 4 banger is made by V. M. Motori.

Ken,

Volvo was actually promoting something like that. They worked with Engelhard to develop a catalytic coating that they use on their radiators that converted ozone back to O2 as the smoggy air passed through the radiator. I suspect it's the same stuff that Sharper Image advertises on their Ionic Breeze home air cleaners.

Funny isnt it, their answer to better is more complex and more to break. Mine has always been the simpler the better. I know that the 3rd gens are alot more complicated then the first gens. But they need to get back top basics with international

Uh Oh this looks like a big mess. They have a brand new motor now that they can't get to work right, now they are working on a new, more complex motor. I fell sorry for ford techs and owners who have all these nightmares :(

If the air coming out is cleaner than the air going in, then we should drive more to help clean up the air.

They should run the engines nonstop. :-laf Maybe all the treehugers will buy them. :-laf

A step further

Let's see, if you drove in a really smoggy area, you could burn the particulates in that smog, have clean air out the exhaust, and if it was smoggy enough, you wouldn't even need to burn diesel. Imagine, an engine that ran on the particulates in the ambient air :D

yea but after a while they would need to look for a bombed truck to follow for more fuel :D give a hoot roll some coal for your underprivileged fellow motorist
