So 200miles south of Dave Smith as if the historic ice storm was not enough for me that day the engine check light came on. Slept the night in a small town to let the freezing rain pass, next day drove to Kenniwick, WA where dealer told me it threw the codes above, thought that a reset and some faster driving might help. 300 miles down the toad the code came on again. Got to Medford, OR and the next day the dealer there reset what was only the P20EE this time. Looking these codes up I thought the whole idea of the changes on the newer Rams, ? 2016 and 17 in the SCR/CAT was the solution to this. What could the problem be on a truck this new?

Also, I read that the DEF could be contaminated, the DEF injector bad, etc and hopefully the CAT wouldnt be bad out of the factory like this. Dave Smith looked up my VIN for updates and none found. Dealer in Medford said that the flash of the PCM for the 13 models with same code issue didnt really fix the problem, they had to put in new CAT.

So I am looking at my new DEF gauge and it is still on 100% despite 1200miles of driving the last three days. How fast does it go down and I was wondering if the issue is the DEF isnt being injected???

Any ideas appreciated, I have a dealer appt in 10 days, yes, thats the fastest they could get me in. Good news is that it didnt go into countdown mode yet so I could get home.

I had the same problem on my 2013, i.e. repeated P20EE codes. It would only happen at highway speeds, never around town. Several trips to dealer later, after cleaning DEF injection system, de-fueling (whatever that is) and a new flash, a new catalytic converter fixed the problem.

Regarding the DEF gauge, mine is highly non-linear. It will sit on full for a long time before it starts to move. DEF usage was erratic prior to the Cat change, seemed to smooth out after.

I had something similar on my 2016 3500 with 700 miles after leaving Dennis Dillon in Idaho. Got to a dealer in California, cleared codes and knock in wood, never came back. I wonder if the Kenniwick, Wa dealer actually cleared both codes, rather just cleared the one and the P200 was never cleared and remained in the memory and that's why it popped back up. I'd just see what happens going forward. Hopefully the Medford,Or dealer got the 2nd one cleared out.

I had an issue with the temp sensor for the DEF tank heater giving false temp readings. It would turn the heater on when the truck was first started then turn the heater off the DEF would re freeze. I ended up blowing the fuse on the DEF pump frozen pump throwing the P20EE code. new sensor under warranty and all has been good. I wonder if you've got the same issue.
