I always find mouse traps effective to keep cats out of trouble.

Put some a them kabob sticks in the plants and them kritters won't go near it. Had the same trouble with a cat just loved to squat 'n drop. No more

If you use mouse traps, be sure to place them "upside down" or you may get a nice vet bill to go along with the lesson you tried to teach! What do you know, you'll both learn a lesson They are a bit sensitive and will make you jump a few times setting it up, but that is the idea, to scare them, not remove or break a toe or tail.

Hmmmmmmmm....

Looks like a potential "sail cat" to me. First you flatten them with your truck, then dry them for a few weeks. They are now ready for what cats are made for: sailing them like a Frisbie.
