Steve...

Why is it that when you use a quick reply to a thread it autromatically subscribes you to that thread and allows for no option to not subscribe?. Is there a setting that I may have missed or is the website by default set that way?. When I use the quick reply post I end up with all the email responses of the posts after mine.

Go to your user control panel, then click on edit options on the left, then scroll down to the default thread subscription mode option and change it to do not subscribe.

Thanks. .

I figured it was a setting I was missing or didn't know about. My brain is kinda fried with all this bad stuff happening around home here and appreciate the help... ... ... Putting my hammer away now... ... ..... Andy

Although if you aren't subscribed, you won't know when/if somebody responds.

I just came up with something: (hopefully Steve's subscribed to this one ;))

When I post a reply, it takes me to my post. I hit the backspace button and it takes me to a blank reply page. Hit it again, back to the thread. Would it be possible to make it go back to the thread list on the first backspace?

(too cool, too difficult, or something obvious I'm not thinking of... again )

Not possible. Hitting your backspace button takes you back to the previous page on your browser. Now if you use the quick reply box instead of using the post reply button it will do exactly that.
