FYI, I had my clock spring replaced under the recall last week, lasted all of 6 days, backing out of my driveway today, turned the wheel, heard a crunch, looked at the dash, sure enough in big red letters 'AIR BAG'.

This was one of the few warrantys I have not voided on my truck, now I'm sorry that I replaced the original clock spring, it was working fine with 8500 miles under my belt. I thought I'd be a good boy and get the warranty repair done before I encountered a problem, what a mistake. By the way, when I called to schedule the original appointment, they did not have any in stock. I was told the clock springs were on national backorder, got a call a few days later when the new and improved, lol, clock spring came in. Kinda shoots down the theory that my replacement was from old stock.

Man am I pi$$ed off. Now I have to wait for one week before I go back to the dealer, due to my schedule. Maybe I'll get lucky and the bulb that powers the 'AIR BAG' light will burn out before then.

Mods?

Scott,

Just curious as to what you did with your fueling boxes. Did you take them out? Did you leave the tap on the injector pump? Did you threaten their lives if they jack'd with anything?

I would hate to take my truck in after all these changes.

When I took mine in for warranty stuff I left everything in it and hooked up. I work in the car dealership business and my dealer and I know which warranties I voided and which still stand.

I left it all on, I know what I voided, kinda hard to hide things like a 6" stack and HX40, if ya know what I mean. No mention was made to what I have in regards to the warranty, I'm sure that if I was there for a VP44 replacement, things would have been different.
