Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) oil air filter

quick question



Does the turbo suck the oil through or do people not oil properly and dirt gets through?

Well, there is negative air pressure....

(a vacuum) between the air filter and turbo. Too much oil on the (I assume aftermarket) filter will eventually end up on the compressor blades. Standard paper filters are not suppose to let dirt through. K+N style filters need the oil to do an effective cleaning job. Kind of a balancing act.
