Oil Analysis Pre and Post DPF delete

Posted are two oil reports done on my truck usually after about 5000 miles between oil changes with the EGR and DPF systems intact and the latest oil report 4000 miles after those components stopped operating. Its nice to see 0% fuel dilution in the motor oil finally!

Done and yeah a huge change. Especially in the fact that the oil level is no longer increasing between oil changes... .

10% and 7. 2% fuel dilution. WOW. Cummins says 7% is OK. Did the truck advise of earlier oil change or did you just wait until 5K miles to change after a notification?

Hate to be the dummy in the crowd - - but what is the DPF and does my 06 5. 9 have a ERG or a DPF?

You have no DPF (diesel particulate filter) and you don't have EGR hardware - however you have EGR function that is created by cam/injection timing among other things, but nothing like what the 6. 7 guys have.

The oil change light only worked about twice in the past year. We just went with a 5K interval out of caution. Wish I had deleted as soon as I bought the truck, would have saved a bunch on fuel and oil changes.

Between the fuel dilution and the soot levels, you were trashing your engine!! I am deleting as soon as smarty has a programmer ready for the '11s.
