What Fuel Filters really do

Warning Rip Off

I usually wait at least 2 hours after draining the oil before I put in fresh oil. But I know I am still not getting all of the old oil out (Pump and ??), is there a trick?

I am going to change over to a bypass system with synthetic and want to start off as clean as possible. :)

Thanks,

Lowell

I did the drain for a couple of hour thing and the result was that the top about 1" or 1 1/2" of oil in the filter drains out the oil drain. MUCH less mess. I still ziploc bag the filter, but more as a precaution than a necessity.

I have a ez drain and drilled a couple of 1/16" holes in its collar where I thought it stuck up above the oil drain boss. Don't know if it helps or not, but was what I could do to help it as much as I thought I could.
