Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Oil dirtier after hp increase.

Have 2002 motor. As I increase the hp it seems that my oil is dirtier at 3k change point. Works harder gets dirtier? Stupid old guy needs glasses?Motor has about 20k is at about 350hp or so.

More BHP = more fuel = more soot = dirtier oil.

YUP - more fuel for more power = more soot = dirtier oil - simply can't change some facts of life...



ALTHO - I find that running around town or freeway unloaded, with the Comp on 1x3 - more to save the clutch than anything else - my oil seems to stay cleaner than with the box set to "off". But then, I also have a bypass oil filter, which might be altering reality...
