I will have to admit that it is going down here , $2. 05 gas , drive by today , local news says some stations in area under $2. 00 .
But diesel is still $ 2. 57 winter blend at the same place .
My truck stop was $2. 51 # 2 last week , I better go fill up before it goes down ,
Tractorat said:Wow, oil is down from over $62 to just over $53 in just the last couple of weeks. Or a little over 15%.
At least in Washington, gas is up ($2. 63/gas, $2. 97/diesel in my local station). Another example of the market at work. Dont you just love it ?
Tractorat said:Thats true. But none of the other factors are in play right now. And, as you say, the cost of crude (very close to $50 now) is a substantial part of the cost. And it is way down.

duckcarvr said:bad news!! on the evening news it said crude oil hit all time high today at $72 a barrel.
JFaulkner said:None of those factors? Um... . ULSD is a pretty big switch, cold weather in the west, just had a huge travel holiday(s). All I'm saying is you can't only use the price of oil to try and predict the price of gas\diesel, there are way more factors involved. And for anyone who thinks I work for a oil company, well I wish. I spent over $25,000 dollars last month on fuel alone. :{
