I had the oil changed in my 04. 5 cummins last month at my local dodge dealer and since then have noticed oil spots on my driveway where I park. I have looked under truck numerous times and see drip of oil at center of oil filter which I have wiped off many times, but it re-occurs. Took truck to dealer today, they say filter is on tight. I now have a leak test scheduled for Thursday 12/8. Has anybody had this same problem? or know probable cause?

Filter may be tight but if they didn't pre lube the rubber seal with oil before installation, it will do what you are describing.

Or even worse, they may not have checked to see if the rubber seal from the old filter was stuck prior to installing the new one??? If this is the first oil change this is more than possible as the filters are usually tightened on by Hercules at the factory. It'll be interesting to hear the outcome of this one.
