I installed an Amsoil secondary bypass filter on my '05. Supply line comes off the top of the stock oil filter, runs to filter located behind passenger side fog light. Return oil line goes up to the oil filler cap. On my '97, drilling the oil filler cap for Amsoil's swivel return fitting was a piece of cake. Not on the new truck! When I drilled the hole through the cente of the cap I found that there was a spring in there. I had to do quite a bit of dremel work to get a hole all the way through the bottom of the cap big enough for the nut that holds the swivel fitting, so the spring is history. I sealed it all up with RTV sealant, but even with the cap as snug as I can get it, I'm getting a small oil leak on top of my nice new CTD. Any suggestions?
