oil filter for aisin transmission

any one know if there is a filter in the new aisin transmission (3500 cab chassis),and where we could get it,and when it should be changed

Fluid change is 30,000 miles regardless of usage. The filter only has to be changed if metal is present. The pan has a drain plug so you don't have to drop the pan. Use a clean container and look for excess debris to determine if filter needs to be changed.

Is there an approved alternative fluid for the Aisin transmission? I'd like to buy a quality brand name fluid that meets Chrysler/Dodge specs from an Autozone or other parts retailer if possible?

This is already reported in another post but to close the loop I found the answer. The Aisin uses ATF+4 according to the parts department of a local Sterling truck dealer.

The Aisin does NOT use ATF+4. It uses special Aisin fluid as I posted before. This caution is from TSB 21-014-07.

Dodge Ram C&C Aisins and, apparently, all Aisin transmissions use Mobil Multi-Vehicle ATF available at Autozone and other auto parts stores. Look for the "JWS-3309" specification on the bottle.
