JHerrlich, You have something to use it on. Your 2001 Ram will accept the new style oil filter. The 3rd gen Fleetguard Stratapore filter is the same filter as the Stratapore for your truck except that it has a fluted bottom. So what's your excuse for not buying one of those filter sockets now buddy .

hey guys,



i got my socket from Jeff today, and i got to tell you, this baby is absolute class and precision. i am a machinist myself, so i can appreciate what goes in to making a tool like this. as soon as i got home, i put it on my 1/2" extension which in itself is a precision fit and then pressed it up onto the filter. WOW! i almost wanted to take the filter off just to play. the fit is just superb.



Jeff, my friend. . my hat is off to you. you really did a top notch job.

by the way, i checked the socket on a PH8A for my fords and a PH16 for the caravans. IT FITS on those too. probably many others also, but those are the only ones i have in stock.





anyone that hasnt ordered theirs yet, doesnt know what they are missing. this is a must have tool.
