OIl Filters........

Now before everyone says "Not Another War" that isn't this kind of thread. I was just curious if anyone had ever ran across a list of who makes or actually manufactures all the different brands of oil filters? If you cut open Honda's filter it resembles a fram very, very closely. Anyway if ya'll got anything I would love to hear about it. Thanks

Here's a list of companies that belong to the Filter Manufacturers

Council, it probably represents 99% of the filters sold in the US. As for who makes which filters you'd probably have to contact each company and even then they might not tell you. http://www.filtercouncil.org/members/membercontact.html

Oh noooo... for 200,000 miles I thought I was doing my old F-150 a favor by sticking to Motorcraft FL-1A's.



At least I see Fleetguard and Stanadyne. Some of those companies make filters for others on the same list.

Are Penske filters any good? Anyone know who makes them? I can get Penske filters pretty cheap but don't want to switch unless I know they are good. I currently use Fleetguard.
