i recently replaced the vacuume line to the cruise control actuator & noticed the old line had some oil dribble out of it. while trouble shooting the panel actuator for the bi level air outflow, a drop of oil (or so) also dripped out of the actuator. suspect there is a seal bad in the vacuume pump. is the seal in the pump replaceable or is it time to replace the pump? thanks for any advice.

oil in vacuume lines/actuator

Thanks for the replies to my post concerning oil in the vacuume lines. After reading the TSB, i think i know the problem. my truck idles ALOT, in the winter months. i cleaned almost all the vacuume lines and cruise control actuator/defroster actuator & the 4WD actuator, found a little oil (maybe a drop or so) in each. the check valve in the vacuume pump i removed & cleaned up. there was bit of oil in the pump housing (where the check valve screwed in) but no more than 2 pipe cleaners were able to clean up. the check valve ops ck'd good. in the future i will be more vigilent as to how long the truck idles. thanks again to all who replied. rs
