Well..... I don't know if it is just me or if there is something to it but I developed an oil leak on my 99 2500 4x4... ... Finally traced it to the crankcase vent tube thanks to the members of TDR..... I have 150,000 on my rig and this has never been a problem until recently... ... . When I changed the oil last week I realized that the problem developed when I could not get a Fleetguard Filter and used a Wix Filter the last few time I changed the oil... ... Went back to a Fleetguard last week and the oil leak has disappeared..... Anyone else noticed this?? I have heard the Wix can cause an increase in pressure... .

Oh... . by the way..... I was also told by the Cummins Stealer that Blue 2000 is being discontinued... .

I would respectfully request you avoid the generic reference, "stealer. " Please feel free to post experiences - good or bad - in detail.

Thank you.

Mine did the same thing, but only when I switched to synthetic oil, I developed a little leak out of the overflow tube... I saw a post by Illflem, which said to take an old vitamin bottle, trow away the cap and drill a hole through the upper lip of the bottle, and the tube, then attatch it with wire or a zip tie... I did it and now no more messy driveway.
