Parked truck yesterday. This AM I noticed a small oil leak under the truck, driver side slightly ahead of front wheel. Later today the oil leak became larger. Found oil leaking from top of steering pump. Removed cap to check level. Found pump full to the top and overflowing. Oil in pump looks almost like engine oil. Started engine, tried to turn wheels. Steering wheel will not turn.

What is the best way to solve this problem ? I may also be reached at 303-886-2506

could be that the seal between the vacume pump and power steering pump went bad and started leeking oil into the pump and caused it to quite working. .

Thanks for the input

Would like to attach a pump to the line from the steering pump to the booster to remove the fluid. One line enters the side of the booster the other from the top. Deo not know which line to attach to.

Input appreciated

Also posted this in your other thread.

Its probably the nitrogen accumulator on the brake booster (blue round thing) it fails and fills the fluid with bubbles causing it to over flow. On mine it would take about 5 minutes to start working in the morning, I changed the fluid and it worked fine but no reserve braking if the engine stops, after you stop the engine you should still have power brakes for a few more pumps, if you dont its the accumulator.

Is replacing the accumulator a project that I need special tools to replace ?. Any information on replacement appreciated

Mine was a warranty repair so I cant help with tools or repair, after mine failed I flushed and refilled the system system twice, then ran it for over a year with no more problems before taking it to the dealer for replacement.
