2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Oil leak in drivers side floor

Not the truck in my sig, rather a friends '00 2500, 5 speed, 4x4. There is oil seeping down the inside of the firewall and soaking into the carpet. It looks like its coming from the hydroboost unit- leaking power steering fluid I guess? Is there a fix for this other than replacing the entire hydroboost?



The brakes seem to work ok when you're driving it, but it seems to leak down after being parked for a while so there is no assist when you first get in.

You might be able to rebuild the hydroboost, though I never have.

Check with these guys: Hydratech Braking Systems - manufacturers of high performance hydraulic brake assist systems!  HydratechBraking.com / Hydroboost.com. Seems like I read that you could get a kit but I have never tried. You can get a NEW unit from the above address.
