I've got a bad oil leak, it leaks when it's running and when I poured oil into the crankcase. There's an oil line on the drivers side of the block below the injector pump. I noticed it was leaking and continued to drive it. I filled the oil on a sunday. Friday I was driving home from work and noticed at idle, the oil pressure would drop to 0! I got home, checked the oil and it was about 1 1/2 to 2 gallons low. When I poured oil in, it began to leak out of the same spot. Could my head gasket have gone bad? Is this where the head meets the block? Thanks for all your help.

Here is the best pic I could get of it.

The line on the bottom of the injector pump is the drain line for the VP44, it goes from bottom of pump to side of block above oil pan. It can loosen. Best thing to do is degrease
entire area, let dry. Start engine and look up with strong light. You will see it clear with clean engine. Good luck!

I was thinking it might be the head gasket. I sprayed cleaner on the area and turned the engine on to see where it was leaking. It was'nt coming from the fitting but above that seam I saw, so it's further up. I'll have to take it to a shop to have the head gasket changed out, I don't think it's something I could tackle myself. Thanks for your help.
