Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Oil Leak

Ok... . I am new here and I'm sure this topic has been covered but I can not find the thread... . My 99 2500 4x4 has suddenly developed what appears to be a very minor oil leak... . It looks like it may be coming from what appears to be a crank case ventilation tube on the front of the engine... . It is blowing back onto the front diff. and making a mess in my drive. Any ideas???



I have been using Cummins Synthic Blue 2000 since the truck was new and it is not losing enough oil to be detected on the dip stick.

No need to worry, sounds like your puke bottle.

Do like many of us... ... ... go and get yourself some hose and a straight barb and 2 hose clamps... ... . run the line back to around your trnasfer case (if you have a 4X4). This will solve the problem. Don't forget to clena the front of your engine after.

I think the hose is 3/4".
