Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Oil Level Down With Mods?

I have noticed the oil on my dipstick has gone down since I put the 370's in. Before I would top it off right to the full line and it would go down enough to equal about a 1/4 of a quart. After the 370's it has gone down more to around a 1/2 quart low but still well in the "safe" range. Is this normal? It seems to get to a certain level and stay there which I know is normal, but is it normal to do so as the horsepower goes up? It seems to do it in the first 1000 miles or so after a oil change.

mine used some for a while, only down to a certian mark and wouldnt drop any more, then it stopped using it and started leaking it, haha. i have heard of diesel absorbing some oil for a while until they are broken in good, not sure if it is true but it kind of makes sense. i wouldnt worry unless you smell it burning, see it burning or start blowing it out the head.
