Read a post recently from someone looking for a oil pan heater. I found this an ad in Flying magazine for aircraft oil heaters. They cost around $ 160. 00, not bad for something that goes on an aircraft. They will heat six quarts of oil to 150° I don’t know how they would do with 12 quarts. The they attach to the pan or block. Might be worth a look if you want a oil heater. It’s called the Hot Strip or Hot Pad from Reiff Preheat Systems. Jeff,

Looks like a great product, but too pricey IMO. I did they they offered a battery heater, something I've been thinking about. I hoping it will help the batteries last a little longer.

If someone is looking there here is a more cost effective alternative for an oil sump heater.
