Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Oil pan leak

I was wondering how tough it is to replace the oil pan gasket on my cummins? I have the extendeD warranty on my truck that has a $100 deductable. I just hate letting the beatoffs at the dealer work on my truck. Do I have to take any stearing stuff appart or lossen the motor mounts to do the fix myself?? If you look at my website I am capable of doing the work but I am just wondering if it would be easier to pay the $100. 00???

its not to difficult ifins I remember right. Done one on a 96 I think and all we did was loosen the motermounts and lift the engine

Mine was replace tuesday and it was covered under the Cummins engine warranty. Did not have to pay the deductable.

I had my entire oilpan replaced under warranty at about 60k miles due to it being warped around the plug and constantly leaking. I didn't pay a dime! Covered under the powertrain warranty.
