Getting ready to do my first oil change. I bought the heavy duty oil plug from Geno's and was wondering what to torque it to. Also is there a torque specification for the oil filter? On my gassers I just usually went hand tight then maybe a 1/4 more with a socket. Suggestions? Thanks

I think the torque spec for the stock plug is 35-40 ft/lbs. It is stamped on the plug, use the same torque for the new plug. The problem with over torquing the plug is the pan and not the plug. So stay stock.

The filter should only ever need to be hand tight like 10-15 ft/lbs. I would say make it as loose as you can without a leak.
