I posted a couple of weeks ago, that my oil pressure gauge was jumping up and down. Thanks for all the replys, well I took it in to the dealer, not stealer this time. They replaced the oil sender and re-flashed the ECM, which took care of the problem. I was warned by all of you who had the same problem, so I went in with the proper information to explain to the service writer, I did not want him to re-flash and think that would cure the problem. I know some of you had that experience, and I was reluctant for that reason to even take in to the dealer. Anyhow, just wanted to share a good experience at the dealer. Some of you wanted me to let you know what the outcome was , and happy to say it was good this time. And thanks again for all who responded to my post.

Yeah mine is doing the same too, just started three days ago with 38k, go figure after the warranty runs out. What did the dealer charge you? Just so I have a rough idea and don't get taken.

You can buy the sensor from Cummins for 71$, Dodge wants 180$ All you need is 1 1/4 deep socket, takes 5 minutes to do. I did not need the reflash after I put the new sensor in.

Dealers that decent will change it even tho the 36,000 is up and will not charge you one red cent. That was my experience. Depending how far out of warrenty it is.

I would have responded sooner, just got back from camping in the desert for 3 days. My truck was under warranty, I wish you luck, sorry to hear yours is doing it too, maybe you will get lucky and they will take care of you. Joey G.
