Does anyone have a problem with there 12V taking a long time to build oil pressure? First thing in the morning its fine comes up just right.

During the day sometimes it takes an extremely long time for the oil pressure to come up. So long sometimes that I worry about motor damage, and cut the truck off and back on and the pressure comes up then. Sometimes if its only any kind of slope it will do it. No its not oil level related because I've been checking it regularly since this problem arised.

Could it possibly be a sender/sensor going out? Anyone else experienced this?

You are correct, it is the sender/sensor. If you want peace of mind, install an oil pressure gauge. Remove the fitting on top of the oil filter bracket and install your oil line to gauge.

crabman :)

I installed a marine alarm switch for the oil and fuel pressure. I rigged a bright red light to come on to alert me that I have a problem. As long as the light stays off I know I'm ok regardless if the stock sensor goes bad. Other sensors are planned.
