After reading about the $7,000 engine that blew up because of no oil pressure, I made my last trip starring at the oil presure gage. As an idea why not have an audible oil pressure alert? I have disconnected the brown wire on the door switch to kill the "bonger" when door is open. There must be some way to tie the brown wire into oil pressure idiot light wire to make an audible warning. Anyone have any ideas?

In the ISBs the computer will kill the engine if the pressure drops below minimum allowed. There is also a low oil pressure kill switch available from Mopar performance parts -- although that particular part may only be for gassers (used predominately in dragsters).

I don't believe there is a kill switch when oil pressure gets too low. On two occassions, I've lost oil pressure to zero while offroading on freefall declines. Engine never did shutoff.
