I am thinking about switching to amsoil. What
will it do to the oil pressure?Raise it,lower it,remains the same as Premium blue
is now

I was using Rotella 15-40, and switched to Amsoil 5-30. NO drop in oil pressure, not even after 35,000 miles on the same oil.
I was expecting a slight drop, but noone I've talked to has had one.

Switched to Amsoil 5W30. Noticed no difference
in oil pressure. My son uses it too, same thing
in his 99 mine is 2000 model.

I also didn't notice a drop in pressure using 5w-30. Actually it remained constant... longer than Valvoline Fleet 15-40.

I did however notice a slight drop in pressure after adding the dual remote by-pass system, but nothing to cause a worry.

My oil pressure went UP 5psi going from Delo 400 to Amsoil 15W40 HD diesel/marine oil. This is per my mechanical oil pressure gauge, tapped into a downstream oil gallery well past the filter, which tells me the oil flows a little better.

My oil pressure is up using 15W-40 and the single bypass. If I had it to do over again I would have went with the 5W-30 AmsOil. Well I guess I can in 50K or so.
