Currently have a 98. 5 24V and noticed that normal oil pressure reading is about 60-70 psi. This is in the normal band per the dashboard white lines. Got together with a few other local CTD owners and noticed that their normal was about 40 psi. Did Cummins change the oil pressure? One truck that compared to was a 12V and the other was a 00. /5 24V. What got this started was wondering if could change dashboard to get rid of the dim odometer read out display. Saw this difference in the oil pressure and decided to do some asking! Bottom line as I can tell, straight up reading is 40 psi for some trucks and 60 psi for others.
