Have 6000 mi. on a 2001. 5 2500 4x4, standard-output. It takes about 4-6 seconds (depending on hot or cold) for my oil pressure gauge to start to indicate. I'm used to my previous 360 gas-o-meter giving a reading almost instantly. Is this delay between start-up and a reading normal, a characteristic of the Mopar sending unit/gauge, or... ... ... ?

Delay in oil pressure reading on start up is normal. My 96 has been doing it since day one. Your concern has been noted by several other owners.
