Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) oil pressure

I was going along and my oil pressure started dropping then rising . went down to 20 back to 40 and done this all day long . What do you think?

Sounds like the sensor going to crap. Haven't heard of many oil pumps going bad.

Clean the connector and try it again before you buy any parts.

where is the sensor located at

Get a sender socket and replace it. Scokets are around $10 and make the total job about 30 minutes. Without a socket it takes a bit longer.

Mine did the same up down reading periodically and when it quit for good, it puked about 2 quarts of oil too.

My replacement lasted 29 days and started acting up. Dealer replaced that one under parts warranty.
