oil pressure sender replace

I broke the plastic houseing trying to get sender out of block with a craftsman deep 1 1/4 socket. Do I need a special thin wall socket? and is there any danger of an oil leak now. I started it and it didnt leak. Its in a 96. Any info would be apreciated. Robb

Yes you can get a special oil pressure sender socket at just about any parts store for cheap. I don't know about whether or not it will leak.

thanks for the reply, I got a special socket at a tool store, I was using a deep twelve point 1 1/16socket. I think a little smaller six point would have worked. oil pressure reads fine now.
