Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) oil sender wiring

Buddy's got a 98. 5 that the oil sender went out we put the new switch in that is a dummy switch now with the new wiring harness. Where does the single wire coming out of the sensor go into? I did a search and couldn't find it. Thanks
