Looking for a diesel truck and came across an '01 2500 that has fluids leaking on the driver side and was recommended to come and post here. Owner says that the truck goes through about a gallon every 100 miles. When running there is no blow by but there is fluid leaking and spilling onto the ground. Did not get a chance to look at it for a long time as I was on lunch break for a job. Owner is an older gentleman who has not used the truck in a few years because of the leak and is not super knowledgable about the problem. My first thought was a rear main seal failure but not sure. Are these driver-side fluid leaks common on these 24v Cummins? I cannot seem to attach the photos I took for some reason. Any and all insights would be greatly appreciated!
