I bought a transmission/ oil temp gauge from JC Whitney. . (I know, mistake #1) Anyhow, when I get this thing the schematic does not agree with the color coding of the wires on the sender. The gauge has a white wire that is to go to the sender. The sender has 3 wires, Black is to go to ground and then there is a red and a blue wire. The schematic for the sender shows a white and a yellow wire going to the gauge. I'm thinking that the white from the gauge should go to the blue on the sender but what about the red on the sender? Would there be any reason to feed the sender with +12V? I'm all confused! And tech support at JC Whitney has been little help thus far. Any ideas?
