how much fluctuation in dipstick levels are most of you seeing between oil changes? lets say roughly between every 3000 to 5000 miles. my 01 usually goes a quart low after 3000 to 4000 miles this would have to include that wonderful blowby to.
Seems to use a little in stop and go driving, but in extended high speed trips, doesn't use a bit. Went to Minn. in June, empty except for gear in bed, didn't use a bit. Think the stop and go without getting everything hot and up to temperature is the key, at least that is my humble opinion.
I have over 18K,mostly all towing a 5er, and have never used a drop. Always use Delo 15/40 and Fleetgaurd filters. Change at 3500-4000K. Very little blow-by,no bottle and rarely see a drop on the floor.
