I commute from Texas to Colorado for a week out of every month pulling medium to heavy loads. Last couple of times up there I was starting my truck at -30 degrees. I usually run Rotella 15-40 and this may not be the best for those extremes. I also noticed that my four wheel drive front diff whines like a jet until the temp gets up to zero or higher. I need advice on switching the oils of my diffs, 6 speed transmission, trans case, and engine to synthetic for my Texas heat and Colorado freezes. What viscosites and designations do I need as not to ruin or have trouble from the lubricants? Bypass or not to bypass?(920 miles one way) Stick to dino? Any flushing required? Do I need different viscosities for the change in seasons. Stop going to Colorado?... . not!
