For those that have been considering purchasing a bypass oil filtration system, Oilguard is having a 10% off sale thru 7/15/'06.

This is an "online sale, only" & can be accessed at Oilguard.com. My understanding is that it is unusual for them to have any kind of sale.

Just thought I'd let you know if interested.

Bekim,

I am not affiliated with, nor am I compensated by Oilguard or any company that sells their products.

My ONLY reason for mentioning "the sale" is to alert anyone interested in purchasing one, that they are now on sale. I like getting a bargain as much as the next person so, when I find a "deal", I like passing on the information, to others.

For well over a year, now, I've been wanting one of these systems. I've been on their site numerous times. When I saw they were "on sale", I bought mine (last Tuesday).

Hopefully, anyone that has been sitting on the fence regarding buying one of these systems will be able to take advantage of saving a few bucks.

DavidC,

Hi, again. Your Oilguard Bypass Filter was the first & only one that I've ever seen, in person. Thanks for showing it ,to me. I liked it enough to finally breakdown & get one for myself.

The one I'm getting has the oil drain back into the valve cover via a billet aluminum oil fill cap with a swivel fitting. I was surprised at how expensive that cap was by itself (around $75. 00).

I believe you are running Royal Purple. How often do you change the filters (full flow & bypass) & the oil? Do you extend your oil drain intervals?

Thanks, again, for showing me your system. I was impressed with it.

To The Moderators:

Member Bekim seems to be questioning whether, or not, I am affiliated with Oilguard. I am not. I'm not being compensated, in any way, by anyone for passing on this information and I'm not selling anything.

Just wanted to give our Members, here, an opportunity to save a few bucks if, like me, they had been considering one of these systems.

If I have violated any of this sites rules by posting this information, I, sincerely, apologize. I, really, enjoy this site & wanted to contribute some information, that I had found, with the hope that, possibly, some of our members could save some money.

Thank You.

Hi Joe,

I have been running Rotella dino since the 53 to 56 incident. Not enough miles for synthetic yet. I change the full flow anywhere between 3500 and 5000. The bypass will get changed with the oil at 10k. Still being a little cautious at this time. If your running good oil I would still change the full flow between 3500 and 5k. The bypass would not change till at least 15k. After you install the system I would at least check the bypass by 5k just to see if it is gunked up. My first check during the 53 days, the bypass looked like the tar pits. I changed everything after that and the bypass has come out clean during inspections. I have only done one analysis since the 56 block and everything was fine at that time.
