Just got home with my "new to me" 2002 3/4 ton. Nice truck, but it's a completely different animal than the 12 valvers I'm used to. I do like those rear disc brakes. That thing will stop on a dime. I like it.

Still making my mind up on the BOMB thing, gauges first of course. :D

BTW, here a few pics of it.

Congrats Curtis.

Nice looking truck, but no training wheels. @least it will be easier to get on the dyno

Fathers day present ?

& 'bout time you got back into oil burner.

"Here's the question I'm not seeing asked... .

Why the 02 24 valve?

Why not a 3rd gen?"

While I wouldn't presume to reply for Curtis, I *would* like to point out that SOME of us actually PREFER the 2nd generation trucks - and SOME of us even bought them to AVOID the 3rd generation stuff - no offense intended, or apologies offered! ;)

YMMV!

Great looking ride! ... . 'course I'm prejudiced it's almost the spitting image of my '01. But I got ya beat by one gear & a very cool gray interior.

The price tag had lots to do with it. Couldn't touch a 3rd Gen for less than 25K, this one was had for under 20K. 5 grand goes a long way in the Harris household. ;)

I threw a price out and they called my bluff. Been driving around with a smile on my fice since. :D :D

I'll second that. I'mkeeping this truck until dodge does something else. I'm not impressed at all with the 2004 my brother has. My 2002 is staying with me till the grave probably. Besides, my truck actually sounds like a truck, I like it that way. :D

johncamerson. Normally the six speeds have one too many gears to be in the very small club of 2WD 2500 5spd 24V ShortBed QuadCab Owners Association... but exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. Your in!! :D
